International Forum on Cultural Rights in South Korea



The National Commission for UNESCO, the Korea Culture and Tourism Policy Institute and Interarts organized a International Forum on Cultural Rights and Diversity with the support of UNESCO, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Korea and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation. The main goal of this forum was to examine various perspectives on cultural rights and cultural diversity, including practical implications that are enshrined in international instruments. Also it aimed at encouraging the development of policies, programmes and projects to apply the principles as defined in the above mentioned UNESCO conventions. Moreover, in order to identify specific regional topics and issues, the forum focused on cultural rights and diversity within the Asian context.
